I recently returned from a fantastic trip to Aruba and here’s the thing….you should go! Glorious sunshine, gentle trade winds, and the most beautiful sandy beaches that seem to hug the Caribbean waters for miles.
The seven-mile strip on the west coast is filled with activities and attractions like lounge chair lizarding – for real! – snorkeling, swimming, water-skiing, and parasailing. Most sought after is Palm Beach, known for its piers, restaurants, and lively beach bars. Take in the breathtaking, tangerine sunsets or a barefoot candle lit dinner on this beach.
Located on the Southeastern side of the island is Baby, where you can safely wade out while telling your life story to strangers who don’t care and where the bay opens out into the ocean, giving snorkelers a show of coral and tropical fish.
If however you prefer to act like a nun taking a vow of silence, don your bathing suit and head for the quieter Manchebo Beach on the west side of the island.
If sunning yourself all day isn’t your thing, explore the lush hiking trails in Airkok National Park, or tour the island in a jeep. I hopped aboard a luxury catamaran and had the most wonderful time singing karaoke while sipping on a concoction that looked – and tasted - like it should be illegal. Diving off the boat into the clear turquoise waters was magical!
Shopping is fabulous, and Aruba offers duty free shopping up to $800 per person. You’ll find everything from incredible well priced international labels to kitch souvenirs. Oranjestad is filled with Malls and bustling outdoor markets but if it’s luxury items you’re specifically after, try Renaissance Mall.
Aruba has everything you’re looking for! Give us a call and we’ll tailor a trip just for you.
